This is the last episode for this story and i want to thank everyone who has been here since the very beginning...you know who you are. Thank you so much for all the feedback i got on this story and i should be posting a new story soon. Enjoy and please comment.

One year has gone by now and Madelyn is almost two and Danny is one. They grow up so fast and I am so lucky to have them, beautiful and healthy. I still can't escape the thoughts of Daniel and in my defeat I have given up trying to forget him. He will always be my first love and nothing could change that.
I almost died again when he left my life and coming to terms with forgiving him was probably one of the hardest things I had to overcome, but everything in this moment is as good as it is going to get and I am okay with that.
My mom has been so wonderful helping me with everything since I had Danny, and Janice, who is not only the reason Madelyn's being, but she is now my best friend. "Claire!" I hear my mom's voice calling me from downstairs, shaking me from my thoughts.
"Yes!" I start down the stairs.
"There is a Mr. Calvin Lucas on the phone for you," She gives me a knowing smile.
"Hello," I say and the butterflies begin to swarm my stomach.
"Is this Claire?" His voice is deep and almost seems unreal in my ear.
"Yes," My smile spreads wider across my face.
Calvin Lucas is someone I met at the park a couple days ago. Sophie somehow got off her leash and ran off and he scooped her up and brought her back over to me, since I couldn't actually chase after her because Danny and Madelyn occupied my attention.
His blue eyes just intrigued me and his sandy blonde hair...he was just very handsome to say the least. We talked for a couple hours and he walked me home from the park so he could still talk to me and I just felt like I could tell this guy everything and we ended up swapping numbers.
"Hey, it's Calvin and um...I was just thinking since it will be Madelyn's birthday in a few days and I know this really great children's museum I take my nephew to all the time and we could hang out and give her an early birthday present?" I can tell he is nervous.
"That sounds like it would be pretty great and I am sure the kids would love to go."
"Awesome, um...how about not tomorrow, but the day after because I get of work early, pick you guys up around 3 pm?"
"Perfect!"
"Great see you then. Bye Claire."
"Bye Calvin," I hang the phone up and I think the grin on my mom's face is bigger than my own.
"Will I need to babysit?"
"No, he really likes the kids and wants them to come," Tears unexpectedly spring to my eyes.
"Oh honey, he sounds very sweet, I know it might be hard now, but Daniel would want you to be happy," She takes me in her arms and I rest my head on her shoulder and my arms tight around her torso.
"I know, sometimes it is just so unreal and Calvin is so perfect. I just wish Daniel was still here so I didn't have to start all over," She leans my head up so we are now looking at each other.
"You know what I am going to say, these things all happen for a reason, and believe me it is very true. Maybe we all just needed a restart," She puts her hands to my heart were the scar lays and wipes the tears from my cheeks.
My mother is so wise and I don't know how I could have ever survived this without her. I look at Madelyn playing her brother and she turns and gives me a knowing look, she is smart for her age and knows well of her surroundings.
Yes, this has been the most difficult struggle in my life, but it helped me realize what really matters in life and to cherish every moment I have to the fullest. I am finding happiness again, something I don't think I truly have had since I was five, and I know Daniel is looking down proud and happy for his family
