@PassengersMusic777 I agree
-
@Richmarkhill78 "Often just looping a riff with little variety or structure." You do realize that you just explained pretty much every joy division song ever written, right? Hell, even new order.
-
I think Joy Division should be everyone's favourite post-punk band... a humble opinion
-
Nice list

@Richmarkhill78 Thank's ñ__ñ

EXELENTES BANDAS AMIGO, BUEN VIDEO.
-
Glad to see The Chameleons in the top three. Such a wonderful band.

@Richmarkhill78 Thats what lots of Post Punk was like, the idea was to create atmosphere, not play complicated guitar parts.
Hence the "punk"

Clearly its your opinion.
And in my opinion comsat angels and the wild swans have all the "emotional punch" of a wet weekend in wigan.
Won't argue with wire or joy division mind you.

Interesting simile usage - to be fair neither songs by Wild swans or C.A. in this video are anywhere near their best. They certainly project more emotion into their songs than Mark .E. Smith does, who just sounds constantly miffed in all his compositions.
Why don't you make your top ten Post Punk countdown video, it would make a good companion piece to this one. There's quite a few bands I wanted in the top ten that didn't quite make it like - Magazine, The Homosexuals, Josef K, and The Names.

Yes,wheres PIL? And wheres The Fall? Theres quite a lot of the more posy, mediocre stuff on this.

It's quite clearly stated in the info box that these are my personal top ten, not the definitive run down.
As much as admire Public image and The Fall musically, they don't pack the emotional punch the other bands do - They fall short on writing decent melodies and song structures. Often just looping a riff with little variety or structure.
