"Freedom of speech, on campuses and elsewhere, is rendered meaningless if speakers can be shouted down by those who disagree.
The law is well established that the government can act to prevent a heckler's veto -- to prevent the reaction of the audience from silencing the speaker. There is simply no 1st Amendment right to go into an auditorium and prevent a speaker from being heard, no matter who the speaker is or how strongly one disagrees with his or her message."

Awesome video... extremists from both sides are ruining it when we try to achieve peace.
and the Columbian university didn't do anything wrong... I saw the entire speech of Ahmedinejad and he was asked legitimate questions and refused to answer directly. it is a great gesture that they even allowed him to speak in their university. can you imagine an Israeli-supporter giving a speech at a university in Iran ?

It's an emotional experience when people act that way, so I can totally relate to the audience. We had an Israel event a few weeks ago, and protesters chanted outside for close to two hours. You made some really good points, although I don't agree with your celebration of this behavior, I do agree completely that negative behavior in response to behavior you disagree with, makes you look just as crazy, and essentially undermines your purpose. Thanks for posting this.

@daruut and opposition of Israel doesn't necessarily mean hatred towards Jews.
Sorry Clevon, but support for Israel doesn't necessarily mean hatred of Muslims.

Sorry but the human side of those with a pro-Israel stance was certainly much more civilized than those of the anti-Israel stance which was almost sub-human.

@bootsielon
the ambassador kept his cool...but the people in the audience were pretty rough

you know the ambassador could not really have meant that, I mean its not like it would've made a good impression of him if he acted like he was glad they got rid of the Muslims.....just a thought
