The Roy Rogers Show - Happy Trails To You

The Roy Rogers Show ws an American Western television series that broadcast 100 episodes on NBC for six seasons between December 30th, 1951 and June 9th, 1957. The show starred Roy Rogers as a ranch owner, Dale Evans as the proprietor of the Eureka Cafe in fictional Mineral City and Pat Brady as Roys sidekick and Dale's cook. Brady's jeep Nellybelle had a mind of her own and often sped away driverless with Brady in frantic pursuit on foot. Animal stars were Roy's Palomino Trigger and his German Shepherd, Bullet, the Wonder Dog.

The series featured traditional cowboys and cowgirls but worked contemporary touches such as automobiles, telephone, and electric lighting into the mix. Typical episodes followed the stars as they rescued the weak and helpless from the clutches of dishonest lawmen, claim jumpers, rustlers and other "bad guys." This was exactly like the plots Roy and Dale had used in their motion pictures.

"Ranch War"

  • @redfordforpresident What an angry, annoying little tick you are.

Why speak in a place of no interest to you, and yet, give a jab to those who care? Thanks for the dread, and narcissicism. There's a combo....

  • This song was written by Dale Evans, which most people don't know. Besides being just one of many who was inspired by Jane Russell's protection and spiritual guidance of young female stars in the day, she wrote a very inspiring book called "Angel Unaware" after a heartbreaking loss of one of their children. The biography that was done was good, but missed so much. To this day, all proceeds are dontated. These wonderful people worked so hard, lost much and still gave back to so many for so long.

  • Melody Ranch?

  • My sisters watched his show every week. At the end we would go up to the screen of the TV and Kiss them goodbye.

    THANKS.

  • Who cares about the mushroom clouds when we're together? This song is for the dolphins, the ever-smiling Kings of the Sea. The deep, blue sea is a good place to be when the final nuke hits. Like The Little Mermaid song, Under The Sea.

  • Roy Rogers and Dale Evans - have not been forgotten in my mind, and most likely never will be. I have fond memories of the TV series, and bought a record of the song when I was 9 or 10.

Thanks for posting the credits, brings back many memories of my childhood years.

  • I watched this show on tv as a child in the 1960's (about 1967 I think) so great to see them again, really takes me back, thank you so much for posting.
