Peppermint OS is a Minimal Linux Distro designed around Cloud / Web based application use and getting you on the Internet as quickly as possible.

It has a fast bootup time, and comes preinstalled with a variety of web based apps including Google Docs, Google Mail, Dropbox, and Pixlr for online Image Editing.
Peppermint OS Ice uses LXDE Desktop Environment and is based on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx and Mint 9 Isadora. It has an updated kernel - 2.6.35

  • I like watching you create the SSB for Facebook. This was good!

  • @Sb0yce I don't think its quite as fast as Puppy, but its still a good lightweight distro. Couple of alternatives - Lubuntu, Bodhi Linux, or Minimal Ubuntu. emesen is in the repos so it should work ok

  • I am putting Peppermint on more and more of my old computers. It's the best.

  • I'm glad I found Linux, the possibilities are endless!

  • @OSyTim cheers mate
