Got Me Going Crazy: {Can't Have You} [14]

So, I know the last chapter sucked and wasn'’t dramatic. At all. Anyways, this one should be better. Be warned that I have absolutely no experience writing about dates or whatever. Though I mean, it isn’'t…... I guess...… haha. So...… yeah.

Chapter 14: Only a Get-Together?

Mary POV

I didn’'t think I’'d ever feel the way I did as Sophia and I climbed into Kate’'s car. I was so nervous. Not only would we get more time with the best people on the planet, but NICK JONAS TOUCHED MY PHONE! Haha, but really, Sophia could see how shaken I was. I considered this a date. I always consider things more important than they really are. And therefore, I stumbled over one word or said the wrong thing and I’'d die right then and there.

Mary: So where are we eating?
Kate: Kevin called me this morning. He told us to meet them at their tour bus.
Sophia: Hmm. Sneaky.
Mary: Ugh.
Kate: Hm?
Mary: Is it that hard to say like, two words? Like, "“Where are we going?"” “"That place!”"
Sophia: Except you’'d replace "that place" with wherever we’re going. *a few minutes of silence*
Kate: We’'re here.

The tour bus looked just like it had at the concert hall when we saw it there. We parked our car and walked over just as they started exiting. I swear my hands went from dry to sweaty in like, five seconds. Nick was so cute. Ohh, why does he have to look so much cuter in person? Grr, me and my wanting him. I'’m sure they were trying to get me upset over nothing with this thing.

Kevin: Hey. Nice outfits.
Joe: *wide eyes* Wooow.
Nick: *thwacks Joe* Stop with the ogling.
Sophia: I don'’t mind. *smirks*
Mary: *shyly smiles at Nick*
Kate: *hugs Kevin* So, where are we going?
Kevin: It'’s a seeecreeet!
Nick: *glancing at Mary* We’'re sure you’'ll like it.
Sophia: And what are we waiting for?
Joe: My stomach. *stomach growls* There we go!
Everyone: *laughs*
Nick: Okay, I’'ve lived with you my whole life and I didn’'t know you could do that.
Kevin: Nor did I.
Joe: Uhh, well actually that was a coincidence.
Kate: *laughs* Are we going or not?
Kevin: Of course.

We walked for a few minutes in silence in a messy kind of group formation. Kate and Kevin led, though, and Sophia and I were on one side while Joe and Nick were on the other. Joe and Sophia were closer and Nick and I were far away; he looked a bit depressed. I was about to go over to chat.

Kevin: We'’re here!
Sophia: Huh? Where?
Joe: Look forward, not up.
Sophia: Ohhh.

There was a large sun umbrella next to a large blanket on the ground. There were plastic plates and utensils and napkins and such, as well as two large picnic baskets.

Joe: *smirks* Good, Yogi didn'’t steal our pick-a-nick baskets.
Sophia: *giggles* I think you’'re the one we have to worry about. Don'’t overdo it!
Girls: *stifling laughter*
Joe: Honestly, everyone'’s picking on me these days. First it was my outfit problem, and now people think I'’m gonna steal all the food!
Nick & Kevin: We wouldn’'t put it past you!
Everyone except Joe: *Laughing so hard they fall over*
Joe: What is with these people? Honestly. *shakes head and walks over to the baskets*
Mary: Noo! Stop him! He’'ll finish it before we get there!

So we laughed for a while. I never thought the guys would be that amazing. They were so nice and polite. I could tell Kate was definitely getting used to Kevin again. Sophia and Joe seemed to be laughing half of the time. Meanwhile, Nick and I were hardly saying a word. We said the occasional, "“How’'s the food?”" "“Good."” thing, and we smiled, but it was so awkward.

Mary: *muttering under her breath* Damn awkward silences. Anyone who'’s heard SOS knows he hates THOSE.
Nick: *smiling softly* You say something?
Mary: *normal voice* Uh, no.

Once we were done eating, I could tell Nick was thinking hard about something. He had a focused expression and didn'’t appear to hear anything.

Mary: Nick? *sing-songy voice* Niiiiick? *pokes Nick* Hellooooo?
Nick: *blinks and turns to Mary* Oh, hey. Sorry. Um…... Hey, wanna take a walk? There'’s a really cool spot here.
Mary: *smiles* Sure, sounds nice.
Nick: *smiles, stands up, and offers Mary his hand*
Mary: *takes hand and stands up, lets go nervously* Um, see you in a little while then, guys.

OHHH WHAT IS IT? Sorry I haven’'t updated. I want ONE more subscriber before part two and so I want you guys to give me one. GO!!! Oh, and I know it’'s been like more than a week: FORGIVE ME! The next chapter is the last in part one! I want FIVE COMMENTS on it! THANKS!!!
