Write to your elected officials on paper (at their district offices in the case of Congress) and tell them specifically what you want. Ask for a written reply and provide your mailing address. Keep your letter short and limit it to one topic.
Write and speak to the environmental organizations you belong to about Prescription for the Planet.

It is "theoretically" possible to power the whole world by solar and wind energies. But we need to cover up the whole of our deserts with solar panels.(something to the size of 3 Saudi Arabias). This is an insanely huge construction project : it will be a tremendous waste of building materials, water, land and most of all, human labor.
Nuclear power (via IFRs) is far more beneficial *environmentally* with respect to the the environmental footprint. That's the reason why I support IFRs !!
