i know this is meant to be taken seriously, but then you remember this is a cut-scene involving a chibi monkey, then you laugh.

Beautiful.

It was slower in this game than the other one. Trust me, I know.

@filipeflower Supposedly, he was supposed to be going on this mission as a favor during his vacation. But yes, they totally could have. I fully agree on that. XD
-
Couldn't they at least remove his beard and his mullet, just to avoid any confusion ?
-
@filipeflower In the Minigame in MGS3, they had already established a timeline connection, referencing Otacon knowing the professor from A.E., and stating relationships between the characters from Ape Escape, and the ones from MGS. If they were to make it Naked Snake, they'd have to write a whole new plot, and rationalize the existence of the monkeys, which wouldn't be necessary if it was just Solid Snake, who already had encountered the monkeys, and had previously gone after them.
-
Why couldn't they use Naked Snake instead, just to avoid confusion ?
-
@filipeflower Yep! Well, aside from him not having the eye-patch or anything. :P
It was a good marketing device on their part too, considering that having the collab would split the story into two, with two different styles of play, so that people who knew nothing about one or the other series would buy it to do the minigame and figure out the whole ridiculous plot.
It confused me at first too. XD

And that's why they made him look exactly like Naked Snake/Big Boss ?
