For the ones who's having a hard time listening to this. I would advice you to do some freeform stuff on your own or with a friend. I doesnt matter if you can play or not. Maybe you could visualise your favorite scene of a film or something. Once you get used to that, listening to this will become easier.
It's not so much that you get used to the dissonance, but you get used to emotion having a larger role than scales, theory and groove

I love the use of marimba mallets on an upright bass...
If someone were to make funk fingers like that for a regular bass, I could picture quite a bit of different tones being able to be obtained.

Not to sure about this one... I'm a huge fan of Dunn, but this is a bit too much for me. Never was a big fan of Improv with a Harp&Bass Combo LOL
