"Rodney's Song" (Original Song)

Original song based on the character Rodney Green from Tayari Jones's novel "Leaving Atlanta." I did this for a paper I wrote, but I like the song and I think it can be taken in or out of context.

Quick Background: It was the summer of 1979 in Atlanta, GA. Rodney Green was 10 years old and he knew kids were getting kidnapped and killed in his neighborhood. Because he had an abusive father and almost no friends, he decided to run away. The man stealing children and posing as a cop found him. He knew the badge was fake, but he got in the car with him anyway. Essentially, he passively committed suicide.
