i use the water extraction method but i carry a host and pull it out as a prep for really messy carpet, cat hair and beaten in sock fibers. I think i have the perfect system and the best of both methods.
@USAKARATE I can safely assume you have never tested this system before. Also, there is moisture, just very little. Also, this video is a poor demonstration of the method and technique. He used the vacuum to extract all the sponges up immediately. He should have had just the brushes running to allow the sponges to work and encapsulate the soil, and then vacuumed afterwards. Anyway, I have tested a machine very close to this at our facility and I am impressed with the results.
Thank you..Please continue with your inferior process and we'll keep cleaning up the mess you make... and let's be clear... this isn't going away but your systems are... I suggest before you make any type of a judgment regarding this process that you actually take the time to use it and see the results for yourself.. Once you do, you'll never use water on carpets again..
Lets throw a bunch of this into our clothes to wash them without water, and see if the clothes get clean..... without water?? How stupid.. Just another get rich quick scheme that will fade away an never catch on... I have cleaned some very very filthy carpets before cleaning with several strokes at high water temp, and high water pressure such as 650 psi.. you mean to tell me just sprinkling a little magic dust powder and suck it up will work..LOL Your kidding right..... This is a big joke!
My friend and i actually use this system from Host , and have a GREAT response as opposed to wet cleaning!!! The wet system people are pissed because they know that this is new and it works! Yes the video doesnt really give this product any justice , but does work great!
Why is the Host product attacked by Water Extraction people so much? I clean with both and bonnet buff and Host If used properly is the best by far. Host has been around longer than water extraction so this idea that it is this new scam out there to take your money is ludicrous.

Host is expensive to use.
It is very difficult to use the bulky Host machine on stairs, under furnitue and in tight places.
Host is only cost effective for maintenance cleaning on traffic lanes and not restorative cleaning.
Host is messy and requires excessive vacuuming.
