glock has not been out longer you beat off smith and wesson is the oldest gun around

dude they have only been making the Smith and Wesson M&P for like 4years Glock has 30years making their pistols. Plus Smith and Wesson copied Glocks design and Glock sued them and won.Where do you think the sigma gun idea came from. So yeah the glocks has been making their gun longer.

While Glocks have been making polymere framed pistols longer then everybody else SUCCESSFULLY, S&W has been around a bit longer making firearms in general. Yes their Sigmas (as well as their M&Ps) took some ideas from the Glock design, but they made a lot of other firearms way before they ever attempted to jump in the polymere frames. Look at their line of revolvers for example.

Other then that, nice guns both the Glock and the M&P series.

I know Smith and Wesson has been making guns longer but i was saying the Glock has been making polymer framed guns longer.

im thinking of picking up one of these here with a shorter barrel i have a 9mm pro M&P and really like but i also have a XD.40 i really like my to favs as far as poly frames go any advice in deciding between the 2

The pro is a really nice gun but is a bit long and not a whole lot good holsters for it yet. The xd is a good gun but it is very bulky and has a very high bore axis. If you wanted to go with a smaller gun in 45acp i would go with the Smith and Wesson M&P 45 compact. If i had to part with the M&P or the XD i would probably let the XD go because your not gaining anything with the XD it only hold 12 rounds and weights more than the M&P just my thoughts though.

Are you kidding...? You wouldn't trust a Smith and Wesson? That's sad to me... An M&P nonetheless... Even after rigorous saltwater and corrosion testing, mud, being driven over etc...? Really? I could understand if you were talking about a foreign made weapon or something... Sorry dude... I'll put the S&W right there with the names you mentioned.

My only complaint is that you opted for this over a 1911 for home defence because you wanted something lighter, if it were for concealed carry, i'd completely understand, but honestly, in your house weight shouldn't be an issue.

I might have to buy one of these just because you said it has less recoil than a Glock 21. At least fire one if nothing else just to believe it. I'm not saying you're full of shit by any means but my Glock 21 has less recoil than my Ruger SR9, my friends M&P9, and my friends Glock 19. That being said I find it hard to believe that the recoil of a 21 can be beat. Hard but not impossible. Good video man!

@2204Alpha Stainless steel was rusting, or was the melonite coating showing signs of rust? I'm curious as to which it was. Did you consider sending it back to S&W for repair?

the best overall carry gun is the pk380 its light so you can carry all day. its compact and its compact. well its the best in my opinion

cool gun but do you actually have a holster for this pistol/light combo? i see alot of people who buy pistols and get lights for them then cant find holsters to fit then they ask me how i got the sarailand tactical holster for my glock/light and i have to give em the bad news that they dont make one for their xd/light or m&p/light comb...ect lol

I just bought this gun today, with a laser light combo under mount also from insight. I paid 499 also, plus tax though. I can't wait to shoot it.
