punched him in the jaw for lightly placing his hand on his back...instead of running him...yeah...a punch in the jaw there is warranted.....what a tool

Bottom line: You do NOT touch the players.

I watched this when it happened. I went crazy after he did that. Don't ever touch the players!

Even though I'm a twins fan, I do know that if you don't want players touching you, you shouldn't be touching players.

He was trying to grab his package.

ok that stupid ump shouldn't have put his hand on magglios back..but seriously!?
i woulda been just as mad as leyland but ya don't have to take it all out on the umpire..
i agree..it was just a polite way of saying shut up and leave. but...its against the rules.
im glad leyland put up a good fight!!!!!!!!

I have to say, Maggs showed a hell of a lot of restraint there. Once that ump put his hands on him, he could've punched him right square in the jaw and would've been justified in doing so.
You can see Magglio was visably upset. He kept asking him, "Why did you have to touch me?" I understand why they are upset, but comeon really. It's so sad that we have gotten to a place in this world where people get so bent out of shape over someone touching you like that? I completely understand the umpire's motives. He didn't want to eject Magglio, just a polite way of saying, "please shut up".
