@spearen I googled "how to replace laptop screen" and started going through the steps. When I got to the step which exposed the cable running along the left side axel (one of the two that the screen is held by and rotates on) I noticed it was being crushed. So I moved it a little and the problem was fixed.

Hey, did you ever get this figured out? My Satellite E105 has the EXACT same problem and I am thinking about changing the inverter cable. Trying to do some research on YouTube first though. Thx.
