Jungle Jim, circa; 1966, at 1:00. I grew up a Chevy guy (1st car was a '57 Bel Air) and when this photo was taken, funny car owners like Jim Liberman, Dickie Harrell, Pete Seaton, Hayden Profitt and Doug Thorley were not only running a Chevy body, they were also giving the Chrysler hemi's and the Ford SOHC hemi's a run for their money using big block Chevy horsepower.

Love the older cars... It's a shame that all they show on TV now is top fuel and funny car finals. There's a lot more to drag racing than just that. Here's a big thumbs up for ya.
