  • @ShowYourWorking Absolutely. The phrase is mainly a moral compass... nobody is gonna wait for someone to hit them. Though the direct counter is the highest level of karate technique.

  • depends on how you look at it. technically i believe your fist should land just ahead of your foot because once your foot hits the ground (depending on what you're doing of course)...your body stops moving.

  • That's not true. The foot should contact the ground the same time the hand contacts the target. This will allow for complete inertial transfer.
