  • I remember the certainty of Reagan's decisions that came after the fog that hung over the White House during the Carter years.

Now, we have Jimmy Carter reincarnated through Obama.

  • Excellent! Excellant! And knowledgable Doug Wead! Thanks

  • @glenwoodfin and Ron Paul reincarnated through Ron Paul

  • Damn I miss the gipper.

  • Foxtard news lives in the past, Who cares what Reagan would do, The question is, if America had a president with balls, how fast would government corruption get chock chained. Thats the real question. We need a president thats not afraid to do what the majority of American taxpayers want, the office has the power but no balls.

  • Aside from the WMD fiasco, didn't the GOP justify the war on IRAQ to free the Iraqi people from oppression and tyranny from a brutal dictator. Since the Iraqi people can't do it themselves we had to do it for them. The Egyptian people are now uprising against what they see as a dictator and a tyrant and so the GOP thinks that we should have help quell the uprising? It seems to me that the GOP will exploit everything anti-Obama even if it conflicts with their ideology.

  • I smell a political play here from the GOP. Just saw a video with Mike Huckabee basically implicating Obama for the current crisis in Egypt and perhaps future instability in the region because he did not intervene on behalf of Mubarak. And now this video of how Reagan would've handled the crisis which is of course in stark contrast to Obama. Basically, what the GOP is trying to say is that its OK to prop up dictators and suppress democracy elsewhere as long as it helps maintain ours.

  • And then those Americans invade Iraq for bringing "democracy"? What a piece of crap!

  • Doug - you are always so insightful! I guess I am going to start learn

    ing about politics

  • Great point of view. We have been faced with this before and probably again. We shouldn't be hypocritical and change our support just because of the masses. We need to look at the issues and make our own judgments based on the facts and not the number of people. A snow ball gets larger as it is barreling down the hill. People tend to jump on a bandwagon without looking closely at the issue themselves, so shear numbers should not detemine our actions.
