At the end fo his book Majd writes "Iran is not in revolutionary mood". In 2009 in Iran huge protests break out and people get killed by basiji and secret police fire. There are two possibilities. First: he doesn't understand Iran at all, Second: For private reasons he's painting positive image of Ayatollahs regime. Either way he's full of shit.

I sincerely think Hooman Majd is giving the world a real sincere view of what Iran and its form of islamic theocracy is. The world is not black and white. Read this book and get a brighter picture of this great paradox called Iran. And yes, he´s a relative of Khatami and a descendant of ayatollahs and whatever. If he wasn´t he couldn´t write this excellent book. Read it!
