that still looks faster than my stock 79 trans am. All those smog engines are detuned so they were all pretty much slow but they wake up really easy. My buddy had a 79 chevy c10 with a stock 305 and put in a comp cam, rpm intake, edlebrock carb, and just a glasspack exhaust and ran mid forteens at the track. Totally surprised all of us. ran hard too. Anyways dont give up on it these F bodies are getting rarer

This one had alot of miles and was weak. It would take some effort to get it to do anything impressive. It also had an open differential, so would only spin one wheel. We would try it if the car hadn't been totaled.

It is an RS with a 350ci. Z28's have fender flares, front air-dam and vents in the fenders. Thanks for the interest.
By the way, this car was totaled when a Suburban turned in front of it earlier in 2009. The owner now has a '78 Trans-Am.
