David Murrow's new DVD is the ideal tool to begin training your church to reach more men. Why Men Hate Going to Church includes two of David's most popular training sessions, plus interviews with Don Wilson and Mark Driscoll, two pastors who have built large churches by focusing on men. The perfect companion to the book

  • You bless me with a georgeous, virtuous wife and I will be in church all the time praising the Lord's name. Look around church and every man there has been blessed with a gorgeous wife who loves, honors, cherrishes, and admire's their husband and has bore them kids. When these men go to bed at night they kiss a loving wife, and their children goodnight. I figure, since the Lord has never blsees me in this area, well, we have no common ground.

  • @Juggernautishere God Is Light 5 Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.6 If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions.7 But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin. Do you have such assurance?

  • @Juggernautishere 1 John 1 God Is Light 5 Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him.6 If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions.7 But if we live in the light—just as he is in the light—then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from every sin.

  • @Juggernautishere (cont'd) Jesus did not need to oppose other religions - He presented theTruth embodied in Himself and not some mystical concept or philosophical idea - I am the Way, the Truth and the Life - no man comes to the Father except through Him. Jesus was bringing the truth of God to God's creation - the Jews did not accept this and yet Jesus was the filfillment of Judaism. They shall look on Him whom they have pierced.

  • @Juggernautishere (cont'd) However that is the situation for everyone in different parts of the world when confronted with the Gospel. Christians obeying Christ's commandement to go out into the whole world have to deal with that situation wherever they bring the Gospel. If the main thrust of Jesus's teaching was to correct the course of Judaism, why bother to tell His followers to take the Gospel into alien cultures. Sorry Juggernaut but you do not understand Christianity. (cont'd)

  • @Juggernautishere Jesus only transcends religious boundaries insofaras he was He was drawing all men to HImself. The professed faiths would learn of Him and the path to salvation as knowledge of Him unfolded - it's a matter of history. His birth in the Middle East geographically helps both you and me. The Gospel is for all nations and He was totally aware that not everyone would accept Him or His teachings. The fact that you are conditioned by your culture has to be acknowledged. (cont'd)

  • @Juggernautishere I am sure you haven't any idea of what Our Saviour desires from those who confess Him as their Lord and Saviour - you don't - you are of the pick and mix variety and not just from Christianity. You glance at Islam and now some form of Hinduism is put on the stage of your cocktail of religious experience. Your understanding of your desire to sublimate or strangle your sexual urges smacks of occultism. I think you would buy into anything just for the thrill of it!

  • @WinstoneP Furthermore the Church is the Bride of Christ and we are also exhorted to Love our wives as Christ loved the Church - what's so namby pamby about dying for one's wife. Jesus also said: Suffer the little Children to come unto me! He gave them value in a society where children and women were disenfranchised. If you're uncomfortable about expressing human love with the opposite sex then you ought to see a psychiatrist and don't hide behind either the Koran or the Bible.

  • @Juggernautishere Read: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 - What about the Body of Christ: Unity and Diversity in the Body

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. How can you disassociate yourself from yourself.

  • @Juggernautishere Oh dear Juggernaut you are so screwed up - You are certainly lacking in humility in your condemnation of other memebers of the Body of Christ. ''I follow Christ alone thru Hindu meditation and celibacy.'' There are references in the New Testament to unmarried men and women who served the local communities in special ways. Later, this celibate tradition continued as some Christians went into the deserts of Egypt and Syria to live their commitment in solitude.
