  • SAY NO TO THE CLOUD

  • it's possible to create a new internet that will be completely free through linux based servers and peer-to-peer connections. If youtube get's shut down, someone with a server or two can just make a new one.

  • Wake up and say no to the "Cloud", just so you control your own life!!!! From a Christian point of view this is BIBLICAL. This is how the Antichrist will control the world, information is power people and there will be no greater power in the world! Don't bother fighting me, I am just telling you, even non believers are putting themselves at great peril be buying into the "cloud" idea. It should be called "control"!!

  • I have 25+ yrs in computers. I ran a BBS and at first I thought it was neat. The one thing that should be stopped is for any user to have to accept cookies in order to use the internet and have to read a long and drawn out privacy policy in order to be on the internet. Our G O V has taken over the internet. I hope that you are still around. I refuse to live in fear. I think that google and Facebook etc is ouwed by the see eye a in order to spy on us. I really like what you have to say. web bot

  • decentralized and still in communication ... oh could you imagine if humanity could do that? lol

  • THA'S OPRESSION FOR THE USER

  • @namizmo Sorry for the little rant there, and I'm afraid you will have to start reading from the bottom up because of the way It posted my replies.

  • @namizmo What it would do is cause all the privately owned companies that host websites with user submitted content (such as web forums, picture and file storage sites, facebooks and myspaces) to self police their users at the threat of being shut down. This would cause the smaller companies (like youtube when it was a young company) from ever starting up in the first place. Check out COICA and SOPA. demandprogressDOTorg for more information about what is happening as I type.

  • @namizmo Probably a more important issue at hand is how Big Media is trying to pass a law that would give the government the ability to deny access to what they consider infringing websites to combat internet piracy. Passing this law would actually do nothing to stop internet piracy (downloading music, movies, and software) as the people who do this have already proven that this type of DNS block can easily be rendered pointless.

  • @namizmo There is a push toward "Cloud Computing" but this will be the choice of the individual on whether or not they choose to use these services, and for many people it will be a useful tool. This will do nothing to change the infrastructure on the internet itself, which is not owned by one, a thousand or even a million people, it is much more decentralized than you portray in your video. The most anyone could do is censor their service on the end of that "phone line" that is the internet.
