http://ScottThom.com brings you the top 3 techniques that will increase your bench press. "Drop Sets" Flat bench to pushups, no rest in between sets. Second is "Negatives" load up the bar and make sure you have a spotter, slowly lower the bar working your chest eccentrically, then have your spotter help you up, repeat. Finally you have the "Pause Press" technique, lower the bar, pause taking the stretch reflex component out of the lift and press the weight up, repeat. Use these techniques at the end of your chest workout and watch your numbers jump drastically! Create a great day! -Coach T

  • @joestl314 your a clown

  • I like the idea of pausing on the reps. I do that for warm ups, it seems to help stretch my muscles. I wonder how much harder it would be for the entire work out. I do reverse pyramids. I do good form but don't pause during rep exercises. I imagine I would have to drop 20+ pounds per set to incorporate a pause. (255x2, 235x4, 215x6, 205x8-10)

  • @blaze555660555660 im a NASM certified PT, and 6'6 so i have the same beef with flat bench. you need a nice wide grip. at 6'10 id say put your pointer finger 1 finger length away from the ring on the bar. make sure you contract your shoulder blades and with your wing span never have any more than 80 degree bend at your elbows or you WILL screw your shoulders. a lot of meat heads say always touch your chest, but they probably dont know biomechanics. hope this helps
