To start Richard Sundblom gets around Jan Palmqvist, who suffers some engine damage. Jan's car looks unhealthy as its smoking down the track. Next Micke Callin beats Tommy Leindahl who pulls a red. Third unfortunately Harald Sturhan is shut down on the start, so Jonas Dantanus gets a bye. Harald would almost certainly of won if he wasn't shut down, seing as Jonas also has engine problems, the car drops smoke at half track and he also shuts off. Lastly no.1 qualifyer Michael Malmgren takes a bye run, laying down a fast clean pass into the semis.
