@baldmunster that's not how songwriting works. Chris makes great money off his hits. It's called publishing....you can't just buy a song off someone. Tim Macgraw cut it for free, he makes money off touring. any artist can cut any songs if they acquire mechanical Liscensing. ASCAP pays the writers the publishing and writers share....Chris Stapleton is kicking ass. he has a Strait cut in rotation right now. Trust me - he's making great money

Heres what the people who write your "country songs" reall look and sound like. time macgraw probly paid a pretty penny for this song, but still wont sound as good as it does coming from the person who wrote it. look up chris stapleton, youll be surprised whos gotten rich off his songs

I grew up in bluegrass music, I played it all my life ... How could you hate this pure music!
Stapleton is one of the best singer/songwriters on this planet, right now, for sure... That is all.

There is no justice in this world, when amazing singers like Chris Stapelton have to keep paying dues, and talentless douchebag posers like Tim McGraw get millions by coasting on the songs of better men than them. Listen to both versions ... if you're in any doubt!
