  • HISTORY LESSON ... Actually, for those of you a little older who remember ... this version is a later one. The very first version was a montage of sillouetted workers in a TV studio, and there was no color. That first version ended with the seated camerman. In the version we are seeing here, that seated cameraman is all that remains of the original intro. Just a little bit of history. It would be nice to find the orginal opening on youtube!

  • @al3xdelano mazinz2 has it up.

  • What was your favorite 4:30 movie? I remember "Monster Week", The Journey to the Center of the Earth with James Mason and Pat Boone. Also, Jules Verne 20K Leagues under the sea and lastly, The Land that time forgot with Doug McClure; all classics.

  • Always thrilled when they ran genre stuff, but i loveed the ray harry hausen stuff the best,

  • what a time travel i remember this intro like it was yesterday, no remotes no cable, no rewind or pause, everyone watched the same shows, no 24 hour news, boy i wish i could return to those simpler days, i loved planet of the apes, war and monster week.

  • Let It Shine!!!! This week on the 4:30 Movie.... Monster week!... staring Joe Biden as the Giant headed Cyclops!

  • @phansen14620 hahaha....thats right...grimsby was awesomehe was pure deadpan

  • @kmeluso It was the 3:30 movie in Los Angeles, and that was when I first saw Terror on The Beach. I lived in Venice Beach, which was already weird, the sun would start setting around 4:30p, cast great shadows across the living room floor, and I'd be petrified watching those creepy movies alone. On a happier note, that was when I saw The Long Long Trailer for the first time.

  • You know why TV sucks now? They don't do awesome rainbowlazer outline intros anymore.

  • OMG, memories. I'm old, Dam!

  • I really miss those days!

  • nice! then after the 4:30 movie was bill beutel and roger "here now the news" grimsby
