I was there in the beginning. Words cant describe the epicness of WoW back then.

If anyone of you is looking for a good pre tbc server then you should give project feenix a try.

Will never forget the 40 man raids, hours in av, epics were rare, 14 pvp ranks, instances were hard, and above all having lots of fun with your friends!

see the "volcanic" environment around the portal? maybe that was supposed to represent real life, and the paradise that awaits you inside the portal, was azeroth, an escape from reality...

man it was just indescribable the the first time i played wow. i knew immediately it was something special... i realized why so many played it. you had this huge, open world, full of danger, magic, and excitement, awaiting for you to explore it.

I may sound crazy but really, WoW was more than a game.

All those who remember vanilla should be disgusted at the mentality at some of the new levels.

Example: noob 1- come on level faster, noob 2- i don't have 'looms, noob 1- then get some, noob 2 cant be fucked to pvp.

Where did the portals go?

The best thing about the Vanilla and BC login screens was the music and those two cloak statues guarding this huge portal.

It felt like were going through a portal to another world, back when WoW felt like it was another world.

What do we have now?

I get it Blizzard he's the bad guy.

If Mists of Pandaria doesn't have a portal I will be extremely dissapointed.

The thing is, even if I went to one of these Vanilla Servers, I don't think I could enjoy it as much anymore - I'm happy for Blizzard, that this game has taken off so greatly, I mean the Warcraft series hadn't launched so well, 'til this game. I admit, the lore and gameplay has clearly taken a turn for the worse, but the fact that the developers continue to provide us with new insights into the world(of Warcraft) is good enough for me, I feel privelaged to be part of Vanilla WoW, you should too!

No more running into the same people on your server multiple times and establishing friendships in your realm. Cross realm bg's, dungeon finders, and now raid finders have ended that. I just miss "LFG ---- this!" and having to work to just get decent gear with people you could actually get to know.
