From its inception, Vital Voices has maintained a commitment to the transformative power of women in conflict. Its ongoing program, Initiative for Women Leaders Building Peace and Prosperity, honored that commitment when it brought Arab and Jewish women from Israel to Northern Ireland. There they gained insight into the cross-community infrastructure and peace groups that Northern Ireland and South African women created to end decades-old conflict and build a lasting peace.

Vital Voices now seeks to launch the next phase of the initiative by utilizing its vast global network of trainers and experts to help elevate and enhance the leadership skills of young Jewish- and Arab-Israeli women. A group of outstanding Jewish- and Arab-Israeli female graduate students and emerging civil society leaders will learn important skills and strategies for some of Vital Voices leading social entrepreneurs and experts in enhancing womens political participation.
