For the last two coments... When I say it goes to a :58 pace, that is a yards pace. As far as knowing how far you have swum, you order the swim pace display which tells you your pace, then you use a clock to time how long you swam, and do the math.

It goes a lot faster. Standard motor goes down to about a 1:03 100 pace and the optional faster one goes to a :58. The current stays very smooth at the fast speeds too.
