  • I think Republican ideology is responsible for this mess. It all started with the crazy trickle-down theory that Reagan sold the country that said no government is good government making its only purpose cutting taxes. The government became the enemy, leaving regular middle class Americans vulnerable to the greed inherent in any of us when large sums of money are involved. We need government regulation as a referee to keep the free market fair for everyone.

  • Do people understand that recessions are a natural part of the economic cycle? Do people understand that a 3 page plan hatched over a wknd will not fix anything. The numbers are too huge. More Keynesian interference will make a deep recession into a deep depression.
