Viewed from the newly constructed footbridge to newly reopened Platform 2 , GWR Castle No 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" with the 10 coach Cathedrals Express becomes the first steam train through recently refurbished, and double tracked, Honeybourne Station.

  • THAT BRIDGE IS PURE VISUAL VANDALISM.PITY THE POOR NEIGHBOURS WHO HAVE TO LOOK AT THAT MONSTROSITY FOR EVER.

A LIFT OR AN UNDERPASS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE CORRECT SOLUTION.

    TALK ABOUT OVERKILL!

  • that bridge is a joke...surely a lift would have sufficed?

  • Pretty impressive eh?

Very nostalgic as of course this is the route of the original 'Cathedrals Express', which was the Paddington - Hereford Train, indeed the best train of the day, in steam days.

  • What a performer that loco is, excellent capture Peter....Bob

  • Nice one Pete!
