Viewed from the newly constructed footbridge to newly reopened Platform 2 , GWR Castle No 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" with the 10 coach Cathedrals Express becomes the first steam train through recently refurbished, and double tracked, Honeybourne Station.
THAT BRIDGE IS PURE VISUAL VANDALISM.PITY THE POOR NEIGHBOURS WHO HAVE TO LOOK AT THAT MONSTROSITY FOR EVER.
A LIFT OR AN UNDERPASS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE CORRECT SOLUTION.
TALK ABOUT OVERKILL!

that bridge is a joke...surely a lift would have sufficed?

Pretty impressive eh?
Very nostalgic as of course this is the route of the original 'Cathedrals Express', which was the Paddington - Hereford Train, indeed the best train of the day, in steam days.
