Does the Bible say that women can not be pastors, overseers, and/or deacons? Does 1st Timothy 3:1-13 exclude women from these positions in the Church? How does God's word define these roles? Does God have a history of appointing women to these leadership responsibilities? When you see a woman operating as a pastor / overseer, deacon, or teacher, is it God's will that you attempt to discourage her from this work in the body of Christ?

Host Monica Dennington responds to letters and prayer requests from viewers, taking up spiritual battle on behalf of the saints and God's Kingdom.

  • I don't see how 1Tim2:11,12 is talking about marriage? Can you explain?

  • @heven29 Sure. Please watch the all of the video sessions of the seminar HouseOfGod.TV where this is explained in detail. It should be obvious that not all men are to have authority over all women.

  • In reference to authority given, isn't it only those in the direct line from Peter that have been ordained and given authority? How is authority given to anyone outside the Catholic church?

  • @jdfain Thanks for your question. It is obvious that those currently in charge of the Catholic church, and it's pedophile priests have not been ordained by God and have no authority. This has been the case for centuries. Please watch YouTube video "Called Out Of Babylon?:Welcome To The Church!" where the question "What is the Church?" is answered.

  • @themikestroud There are actually WOMEN who feel this way too. Lol ive seen videos of women teaching and preaching about how women are NOT to teach or preach on youtube. I always laugh when I see that.

  • @SuperGolfing1 Are you in the habit of asking questions that you already know the answer to? Or could it be that you don't want anybody to think that you just learned something from a woman?

  • @jdfain, the Catholic church, from the very beginning, has been a harlot.

Catholicism was not founded until 325 A.D., and from the beginning, she's been a lover of her harlot fee—not ever truly knowing God yet exploiting His Word for power and coin. Rome seized Messiah's church and created an abomination. Rome sought only to unite itself and the pagans—never the glory of Adonai—as she extorts "favor" from Him and holds His true children hostage; that whore will get what's owed her very soon.

  • In Hebrew, every noun has a gender, which tends to follow a rule of dominance over submission.

We are the Bride (feminine, submissive) to Him—Yahshua Messiah (masculine, dominant). However, the "Lamb" of God renders in the feminine, for "She" submits to Him the Father, the Almighty and most dominant!

References to His set-apart ones as "men" often note their dominance, strength and His favor for them over others and not always their penises.

FYI, just started learning Hebrew; might be wrong.

  • biblos.com is a really great tool as well!! :) One of my favorites! :) I totally recommend it! :)

  • great stuff, Amen, God loves woman, and He uses them, and gives them passion for his word, also a good study is Deborah from Judges

  • @jdfain

No were in the bible do we read this, also the catholic teaching is a falce gospel, it tells us we can earn salvation, and it tells us we need someone eles to mediate for us, but the bible tells us that there is one mediator and that is Christ Jesus, also you are only suppost to worship God, not Mary

  • A man is to be the head of the church and no woman is to wheeled a sword over the head of a man IE be in a position of authority. Therefore from a biblical standpoint no a woman cant be a pastor.

I am now an atheist but I was a pastor for many years. And your twisting the scripture to establish your position.
