2009 River Valley HS - "Metabolism" - Eric C. W. Peel

A student named Yacob Owens contacted me more than a year ago telling me he was interested in having his group perform my piece "Metabolism" for his state solo & ensemble competition. They received solid I's, and I was told one of the adjudicator's was so lost, he just proudly gave them a I :)

For those who are interested in the justification. There are 3 movements in the piece, and each movement represents the 3 meals in the day. And to me, metabolism is just a cool word.

I actually know a group who performed this for Solo and Ensemble today. Three people managed to play it, it's awsome.

Was it Inglemoor high School? If so, all six parts were covered. But yes, Inglemoor did fantastic, I'm in the process of editing some footage I got of their performance, and will be posting it soon.

Thanks Chris. I was so super excited once this got up, it's the first recording of a school performing my music other than LW.
