  • The british army will always be the best in the world, maybe not for their numbers or their ability to follow orders but for the simple fact they are real men, who even being fired upon by the enemy will always treat prisoners/enemy with honor and respect.

This war was from a time when men were REAL MEN, todays wars in Iraq its technology that wins wars, armies like the USA have no respect or honor for the people they are fighting against and are even heard of mocking and degrading prisoners.

  • @OlenkaWagner It is indeed very likely that the story was invented, moreover coming from such well known liars, so if you have nothing but the account of the "victims" and some film which doesnt actually show the "perpetrator", with great joy and amusement I declare this "case" closed.

  • @Arminevh - but in many cases you have only the account of the perpetrator and the victims. Apart from this you have the film showing the post office. It was not just one person telling the story there were other people as well. This kind of crime was not so big to carry out investigation and bring someone to the court. But it is unlikely that the story was invented. The only question is the scale and whether is was just showing frustration or part of some plan of humilliating the islanders.

  • @OlenkaWagner Witnesses must be impartial, which is not the case. One cant be the witness of one's own claim, I COULDNT present myself as a witness that you stole my wallet, could I?

So AGAIN, whats the PROOF for all this rubbish?

  • @OlenkaWagner You know, I know and my dog knows that one needs more than that to be described as decent, and that decent Argentine behaviour described by people such as Hastings and jenkins does exclude lies described in the film.

  • @Arminevh - the relations of many witnesses and the film IS EVIDENCE. Now you should prove conspiracy in producing fake evidence.

  • @Arminevh - the description of Argentine behaviour as decent was because they did not kill or inficted irreversible health damage to any civilian. But that does not exclude the cases described in the movie.

  • @OlenkaWagner what "substantial evidence"? because a kelper said so? because a briton said so? because of a film that could very well be fake?

AGAIN, whats the proof for all this load of rubbish? because my dear woman, you really dont have a case with that "substantial evidence" of yours....

  • @OlenkaWagner The cost for the British was indeed too high considering that Argentina did nothing but a token effort to defend their islands, however that has nothing to do with them trying to make us look bad, they had no other thing to blame us for, since even Hastings and Jenkins (and others) said the Argentine behaviour was quite decent, in fact they never mentioned those lies....

  • @Arminevh - if many people say the same it is unlikely to think that they were lying. The post office has actually been shown so this is more substantial evidence. Of course anything could be denied (like the Moon Landing is denied by some people), but I simply think that the hypothesis that the islanders were telling the truth iis more likely than the one saying that they invented the story.
