Steven Chen - Fortune Faded (RHCP drum cover)

Requested by and dedicated to Sydney Williams :)

This is my cover of Red Hot Chili Peppers' song "Fortune Faded."
I have been playing drum set for about a year and eight months in this video.

I may have overplayed the song a bit... but it was still a thrill to record :). I threw in a lot of my own ideas and fills, so don't expect to hear just what Chad plays. I hope you enjoy it, and please comment, rate, and subscribe!

FYI, please excuse the camera glitch around 1:29. I forgot to remove a segment of a bad take that was on top of the good one in the video editor D:

@thepain258 I use the recordman overhead method, it pretty much eliminates phasing unlike spaced pair mic'ing doesn't

I'm sorry I'm posting so many comments on this video here, but I was looking into the Xs20 Medium Thin Crash because I'm on a low budget. How do they sound? Do you recommend them?

@theapplefreakk haha they're a bit too bright for my tastes, but if thats the sound you're looking for, they're quite cost-efficient. You can hear how it sounds by listening to either cobus' hybrid series or my covers of Life is Beautiful, Until the End, Change my World, Tell me Baby, and Crimson. Hope this helps!
