This is a bunch of hooey. When you eat sushi, most of the fish is salt-water; parasites are in most fresh water fish. Also, that's what the wasabe is for! To kill the parasites.

As for the pork worm.  Just cook the pork well then!

Basic common sense would work here.

@vinishdo 80% of crabs contain a parasite in Asia, what is sushi again, oh yeh.... try it out, go get yourself an authentic crab from a sushi restaurant and then see what happens. I wouldn't chance it.

@MDIS But condiments like wasabi and onion/garlic sauce are usually not enough to kill parasites - the meat must still be cooked to a certain temperature.

i eat junk food like chips, cake, ice cream, tarts, pies, and other types of processed foods but does it contain parasites if i get them
