It´s funny that you put down the comparison between absolute faith in science and absolute faith in religion, when you have just made videos about how Islam is equal to the Soviet Union... Now that´s an unintelligent thought!

You make some good points. But Science has some more pressing matters at hand. Though I don't disagree with you or Mr. Dawkins points I think the "way" to counter this threat is wrong. I am of the opinion that secularism and democracy is the key and not scientific debates.

Even Dawkins himself has rejected (on television of all places) the notion that Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot were all atheists, hence atheism causes mass murder. It would be like arguing since they all had black hair, that black-haired leaders cause mass murder.

Azrienoch wants a cult of post-modernist skepticism (quote-un-quote) "grounded" in Wittgenstein's philosophy. Dawkins' outspoken confidence in biology scares him.

To believe that the scientific process continually reveals and explains the nature of our physical world, one must first believe that the bodily senses and the physical brain processing those senses perceives reality accurately. Most of us prefer to believe that our perception is at least reliable enough to apply to the unimaginably small space-time we occupy, but some of us in our little nutshells have bad dreams.

By the way you phrase this, you betray some inherent loathing of science.

Science need not apologize for being wrong because they never assert they are right. Every fact a scientists asserts is made with the assumption that it is only what we know so far and is subject to correction.

People who understand the definition of science take this for granted and don't even bother mentioning that a theory is "only good for right now" because what really matters is, its the best explanation we have.

It's not that easy. Faith is a learning experiance on your way to believing to find enlightenment, it is working in the faith and using and applying it to your every day life. Science simply says, "We are right" THEN when new evidence comes along science will apologize for being wrong and adapt the new data. Till it is proven wrong again. I know people who don't simply know science to be right due to what you said, but rather to believe science to be right. Just as an atheist believes in no god.
