Welcome to Dorothy's Place!

Welcome to Dorothy's Place!" has been the personal greeting
that has inspired hope in thousands of Monterey County, California's poor
and homeless for more than 25 years.
"It is the mission of Dorothy's Place Hospitality Center to live, to love,
and to work in harmony; to serve the marginalized, to create partnerships
that are mutually liberating, and to pursue social justice with respect and
dignity for all, in the spirit of St. Francis and Dorothy Day."
The purpose of programs offered through Dorothy's Place is to ensure the
poor and marginalized of Salinas (and Monterey County) that they are each
uniquely special and worthy of unconditional love and assistance, regardless
of their circumstances. Watch how the Franciscan Workers of Junipero Serra
are joined by other community volunteers to fulfill their mission and to
"Love Loudly."
