One of my favorite 'Til Tuesday songs of all time. And agree with many of the other posters - this album was SO underrated.
-
a real mystery to me why this didn't hit higher in the charts. i used to have this cassette single and glad i've found this song after so long.

Always loved this song, this whole album , it helped me get going after bad time. I love her still. love her voice, her energy and her guitar playing and her songwriting.
I guess she is my idol?

This reminds me of when I lived in Boston in 86/87 :) Great memories, and Til Tuesday and Aimee was in my ear all the time.

"optimistic feelings can't be passed from hand to hand / you handle them, they tend to die"

to deepend54 and rukeyser:
you're both right. The insert spells it "R.I.P."; but in the lyrics it's also used as the verb 'rip'. Aimee writes poetic lyrics, so it's meant to have both meanings :)
-
it's not R.I.P.! it's a rip - a tear in the fabric of heaven - "we should have just ascended then."
i want to share this, but having the name of the song be so misleading & wrong is kinda whacky.

Every song on this CD is well written, well executed and well produced. Should have been a mega selling project. What a shame that more people aren't exposed to such a great collection of songs. Still sounds as moving and fresh as it did when it was released.
