  • Well--another piece of our history shot to hell by some greedy developer who sees the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. And what is it going to be replaced by?--Probably some piece of modern, eyesore junk that is falling to pieces 3 months after it is completed!

I thought San Diego preserved its history better than that! They need a more strict preservation code.

  • You have no idea the problems that building had... asbestos, lead paint, toxic mold... The only reason it wasn't restored was because it is less expensive (and more profitable) to put a new building in its place. Trying to make this an anti-american gesture is ridiculous.

  • If you americans continue to pull every building that could become an historic landmark, you'll naver have an historically interesting city to visit!

  • no evence but it remided me of the 9 11

  • Their gonna build a new federal courthouse

  • That was cool. Great video angle.

  • also it was an earthquake hazard

  • I have been in the emerald building many times. Some friends of mine used to work in the 24 floor. I remember that the implosion was all over the news hear.:)

  • No wonder Europeans think we are crazy!

When I was on a bike trip cross country I was pretty broke. In a dumpster I found an unopened case of cheese. It was one day past the expiration date. When cheese is just starting to get good, we throw it away. Yes, the Europeans think we're crazy, most of us are.

  • Me too, that was why there were all the explosions in the basement at the wtc.
