No. This video was recorded in Tahtamukhay town (Republic of Adygea).

@bnkhcc very strange phenomena, they all learn it and we ourselves do the opposite. Every word one learns counts!

Is this nalchik?

Wow! I was so happy to have seen it! When they speak Circassian I see them like Circassians. :-)

This is not a strange phenomena as there are many other nationalities for example Bedouins, Kurds, etc. who learned to speak Circassian among their neighbors in the Middle East. But it never ceases to amaze me why our own people never bother to speak it.

Wow, such a great feeling. Although they aren't Adiga, they speak incredibly beautiful. Shame on Turkish Adigas. There are 5-6 million in that country but almost assimilated by Turks.

At the end of the day it is the parents responsibility to teach their young the language. If they dont then it is not really the fault of the children (to some extent). We really cant blame the country they live in. Ive seen native born Circassian (born and raised in the motherland) who for whatever reason dont or cant speak Adyghebze. In my opinion it has to do with the lack of national pride, or the will to learn the language

@bnkhcc parents from nowadays do not speak the language.Whether it is their fault or not is irrelevant.I keep hearing our elders and the people who manage the xasa speaking about how parents should teach the language and that it is the parent's fault that kids are not speaking -illustrating how the xasa is far away from the communities they "serve". They do not even realize that today's parents (in majority) do not speak the language for them to teach it. Depending on the parents means failure.

@djadow You are absolutely right – I can not speak for other Xasas, but recently some Xasas are devoting some, albeit limited, efforts to teach Adyghebze to members and nonmembers who are interested enough to learn it – our Xasa here in the USA has initiated a program to do exactly that. This should be a paramount goal for all Xasa around the world if adyghabze is not to perish in the diaspora

comment from sesetsiku [ which i accidentaly deleted -- sorry --( ] :
They speak such a beautiful adigabze with no foreign accent! It's just sad that our own Adigas don't know how 2 speak their own language while others r making the effort 2 learn it, although it's not their own language. & they don't think "Adigabze won't take u anywhere" as many Adigas think.

you are absolutely right sesetsiku -- shame on us, not for not speaking adyghebze, which i do btw, but for the indifference of the older generation about the survival of our language.
