I guess noone had anything to say regarding this argument. I will give PSU thier due, they had an awesome season going 12-0 and beating a so-so Oregon team. While NU went down to Miami and beat #3 Miami in thier own house. By the end of this game there was no doubt that NU had the way better team than Miami. NU had over 100 yards in the 4th Qtr, and Miami was around -30 for the quarter.
inured during a season even thinking about a NC, let alone winning one. For a while against the Buff, they had thier Running Back out there running plays. Now doesn't that sound like something that happens in Highschool, but they still managed to win. Even when Berringer came back in, how well do you think you could QB with busted ribs? He wins the guts award if there ever was one.
For all of the Penn St Fans, please remember Frasier went out in the 4th game till the NC Game, then a few games later our 2nd String QB ,Beringer, busted his ribs, then the 3rd string guy ,Thurman, breaks his throwing hand. Not only did they manage to make it to the NC Game, but did it undefeated. Then Berringer had to come back to play with a Colasped Lung, how many teams could manage to do that and still go undefeated? I cann't really think of any teams that have all three of there QBs...
The 1994 season was a wave of emotion called, "We Refuse to Lose II" and "Unfinished Business". The 2008 season showed the Cornhuskers have the strength and desire to march our way back to the top of the polls. Go Big Red!
