When I volunteered to provide a display surface for the Somali Cat Breed Booth for the 2005 CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) International Show in San Mateo, California, I absolutely didn't realize what I was getting myself in to! The CFA International Show was held in the same place for 2006, and we made some improvements to the Breed Booth, winning the 5th Best Booth in Show ribbon. CFA skipped the planned 2007 International Show in San Mateo, but will be going ahead with it in November 2008 at an Atlanta, Georgia venue... I'm uploading this video to hopefully inspire the international Somali Cat community to assist with more Breed Booth improvements by e-mailing images of their Somali Cats (rigorous pedigrees not required) to the Breed Council Secretary. For details on how to do this, please contact me through YouTube messaging! :-)

Thank you for watching this video! The background music is the following:
1. Swipesy Cake Walk by Scott Joplin and Arthur Marshall
2. Something Doing by Scott Joplin and Scott Hayden
3. The Easy Winners by Scott Joplin

  • Cool, thanks for telling me.

  • I'm afraid I'm too old a kitty. They wouldn't want me. Caught me while I'm ripping some Simon & Garfunkel tunes off a library CD for iTunes and iPod..;-)

I have to create a distane learning course this summer. I'm wondering if ragtime is a good style of music to run for some of our video clips, since it plays to most crowds. No one really objects and it doesn't distract from content.
