I understand how this may seem ridiculous. I understand the scepticism in the comments. But I wish that those who criticise would also realise that this is a man who stands in front of millions with a speech he has not rehearsed nearly enough to know by heart and suddenly finds himself without any support to remind him of the exact words he is supposed to say to all these people. Who would improvise their way out of a situation like that? Who would stay perfectly eloquent in such a situation?

There are a lot of angry, inarticulate conservatives out there who attack Obama from every angle and as often as possible. Too often, these attacks merely expose them for the idiots that they are rather than persuade anybody to their cause. They are not a minor faction however. They will unite and put their all in attempting to defeat Obama in 2012. Their agenda will be no less damaging than that of the Bush administration. That's enough motivation for me to vote in 2012 for Obama.

You can't find anything real to criticize so you call him the teleprompter president. Give him a break. Why can't you just admit that we have a remarkable president and be proud. If you don't like him, you'll get your chance to vote for Gingrich or Romney.

Every president since Dwight Eisenhower used a teleprompter (yes even Reagan :-O). So did Romney, Perry, Pawlenty, and Bachman tried it but talked into the wrong camera. It's a ridiculous critique that is overblown by republicans just trying to find something to criticize.
