When Greek Orthodox tell you that they hate you because you are Catholic, say: "Peace be with you!" A man can go to church and say "I am Orthodox" and talk about how pious and devout he is, but if he does not have the love of God in his heart, it is only a form of Idolatry. Our Lord stated: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."

What a beautiful video! As a Roman Catholic, Greek Christianity never ceases to amaze me with its history and its art. The word "Catholic" even comes from the Koine Greek word "Katholike" which means "Universal". Our Christian faith truly is universal! Whether we belong to the Byzantine, Maronite, or Latin rite shouldn't really matter. We are all the heirs of the ONE TRUE APOSTOLIC FAITH. Blessed JP II even once said that Christianity has two lungs, Roman Catholicism and Greek Orthodoxy.

be glad greeks! at least they are christian churches and not MOSQUES. i am lebanese orthodox and my country is slowly getting overrun by mosques. we would kill for them to be catholic churches. be joyful bretheran for god has put catholics in greece for a reason. maybe we will reunite. peace
