It is now safe to add to jelly, but not as good for your body. Our body can produce enzymes, called digestive enzymes, in pancreas. But when we eat a diet that's crammed with usually cooked and packaged foods, depleted of enzymes, the pancreas is compelled to work much tougher than it was intended to, producing the enzymes the body wants to digest these foods. So that the pancreas ends up overworking, and the body spends much wanted energy and resources on digestion rather than crucial stuff like boosting the immunological reaction, expansion, repairs in the body and fighting illness.

Far worse, if the pancreas becomes so overworked that it shuts down, then bits of undigested food start bobbing around the body in the blood vessels, causing all sorts of difficulty and diseases. The pancreas can be healed in time, with a diet stuffed with a sufficiency of enzymes.

A diet that includes raw fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds, as well as fermented and marinated foods, will help in keeping the pancreas from getting that bad to start with, and is going to enable the body to spend it's energy on more significant processes like boosting the immune mechanism and fighting illness. If your pancreas is overworked, enzyme reinforcement might be a safe and healthy addition. Check with your medical care provider, or naturopathic consultant to be certain.
