@CrazyHeliDude I would call myself a hypocrite if I even for a flash of a moment forgot or tried to discredit in any way the contributions for inventors such as Da Vinci, Paul Cornu, Lawrence Bell, up to Igor Sikorsky. I will say that I laughed at some of the attempts, but I do respect the ingenuity that each inventor tried or suceeded to implement. If we were able to step into a DeLorean and go back in time with a T-Rex in tow, who knows what would have happened.

@stot2614 - Agreed. I think we take it almost completely for granted today that we can just build a kit or buy a RTF heli and it flies perfectly. But during these times they had no idea how to get a helicopter to fly well. Can you imagine what they would've thought if someone showed up on the scene with say a Trex 600 and just started flying it around?
Great video.. can you imagine this guy's reaction to seeing an MCPX in action.. or a Gaui X5 in the hands of a master...

Wow, that was awesome. Doubt that guy lived without a few scars, couldnt quite make out what happened to him but he got floored. Incredible how far we've come. Thanks for the vid :)

@mickys514 - It really is amazing the guy lived when it seems like such a violent whack. If I'm not mistaken the same thing happened to Igor Sikorsky when he was experimenting over in Russia .... got shot up through the rotor blades as well and still lived. Amazing brave guys during these times. Ironically, the whole reason the ground resonance started was due to the helicopter being tethered to the ground ... the very thing which was supposed to provide safety.
