Mungenast Hyundai Groundbreaking: 649 Dunn Road

An open, grassy field that once faced Interstate 270 in Hazelwood, Mo. will now be home to Mungenast Hyundai.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 26 to mark construction on the new building, located at 649 Dunn Rd.

Members of the Mungenast family, including Kurt, Ray, Barbara and Dave Jr., came to the event and watched as crews from Holland Construction Services, Inc. began clearing and working on the site.

"We are really proud of this," said Kurt Mungenast, dealer principal at Mungenast Hyundai. "The dealership will soon be able to meet more customer needs, both service and selection-wise, since the up-and-coming location will be bigger than our current one."

The new, eco-friendly building, which has a projected completion date of early 2012, is going to be over 35,000 square feet and will feature several amenities such as:
- designated meeting spots where customers can privately talk with sales representatives;
- 16 service bays;
- a power bar equipped with large TVs, Wi-Fi and various seating arrangements;
- information kiosks that allow visitors to research vehicles while in-store;
- separate playrooms for children;
- indoor vehicle pick-up and drop-off areas;
- along withbeverage stations.
