2nd Silver coin pulled from a box from the bank

Nicer silver Kennedy half dollar found in a bank wrapped roll on June 11th, 2009. Hard to believe that silver can still be found in circulation.

I was in my bank (Bank of NY in NYC) and asked the teller if she had any half rolls. She told me to see the teller at the end of the windows. I asked her and she told me she had 1 roll. I took it...nothing inside. She then asked me if I wanted any more. She opened a book and told me she had $310 in the vault. I came back the next day to get them. They had $190.00 in 90% 1964 Kennedys, 12 Franklins and I don't remember how many 40% Kennedys. I should have asked her what else she had in "THE VAULT

@DreamerAriel they are 40% silver which means they are silver clad silver with 60% clad in the middle so your both right.

I know a guy that owns a Restauarant in Woodbridge NJ, he sent out a guy to get dimes, quarters etc at the Bank. When he came back, the dimes rolls had many, many many Mercury's. He then gave a boatload of cash to two other guys and they came back with every roll they had. All filled w/Mercury dimes.

We in the UK had all our silver coins taken just after WWII by the govt. Sadly it was stipulated by the bankers we were indebted to that payment must be made in silver. I guess you guys in the States are seeing them rip off your silver coinage but my guess is that the bankers cannot fulfill their debt obligations because they have sold silver short by many orders of magnitude. I buy Canadian silver maples in doing my bit to keep the bankers from meeting their debt hopefully to bankrupt them lol.

lol better get cracking grabbing those silver coins, the bankers will be stepping up their efforts to extract them and melt em down for bullion. Always a thrill to find special coins in wierd places.
