This video offers a few unconventional solutions for those suffering from bulging/herniated disks as a result of Lyme disease. Often, chiropractic adjustments and cortisone injections do not help people with Lyme, and can in fact make them worse. In this video I offer a few alternative suggestions for treating such back problems.

  • Yes, I think an exercise ball can help with your lower back. If your pain goes into your legs and/or hips, you could have a disk problem. Decompression is another technique for this (it basically stretches out your spine). Hope you get some relief soon! Connie

  • Hi Cleric1104, Sorry to hear you have back trouble, as well. I hope you continue to find healing through exercises and whatever else you may be doing. Thanks for your thoughts, and for your kind comment to my alpha lipoic acid post!

  • A bulging disk in my lower back was my first symptom of Lyme. Thank you so much for your video and all your research. I'll try the Yamuna ball. I woke up the other night and had shooting pains to my legs and hips for the first time. That was scary. I will try one of the products to re-build cartilage.

  • Hello,

First I'll like to say thanks for your videos on lyme disease, I have learnt more from them than any other source.

Anyway, I also have a bulging lower back disk and was very interested in the Yamuna rolling ball exercise. Can you give me an update on how it has been working for you?

    Thx!

  • Thanks Connie! I'm wondering if my exercise ball will help with stretching my back out. I have lower back pain most every day and i'm not sure why exactly. Keep us posted on how it's going and what works for you. I appreciate all your informative posts! Keep up the good work & Thanks!

  • Well, a lot of my pain is in my back. Worst in the lower back. I have a series of exercises that I do to strengthen it. Getting to a point where I can do a bit more than I used to. There is this bizarre rolling pin type of contraption that I use for deep tissue work around my spine. It's hard to describe but I'll put up a video of it soon. So sorry that you're back is giving trouble, but I'm still riding high off of that skating video. Alpha Lipoic entry was great. I take that, DHEA,L canitine.
