3 brave Kerbonauts fly into space on top of the roaring engines of the speedy ship Mk. 14, reaching a tremendous top speed of 6975 m/s.

Such speeds were not acquired by massive boosters and thrusters, merely beginner's equipment. Such efficiency is paving the way for interplanetary travel.

  • Loved the launch music from Apollo 13 bud. But why werent your liquid boosters overheating? Forgive me if I missed one, but I only even say the overheat bar on the final stage. And that seemed to not go up fully, even on full thrust

  • @murphytastic Overheat does that, it usually overheats at a slower rate over time, probably due to fuel/weight/atmospheric drag and stuff. I'm not really sure how the overheat really works but it's always been like that.

  • @GuyWithPants1 Sorry i meant 40,000 m/s within 2 and a half mins

  • @tmo0re4446 Not feasible with vanilla parts, though the balloon tanks and Sunday Punch boosters can reach that. I only use vanilla parts for getting speed.

  • wats up with the apollo 13 music

  • @Sbowyer28 This is the music used during the launch scene in apollo 13, so I used it for this launch.

  • @Guywithpants1 (pi/2) cos*sin^2 is this type of overheat, that means when you go 1km every 50 m/s you get (pi) overheat.
